About The National Conference

SALGA shall within a period of 120 (hundred and twenty) days after every general local government election hold a meeting of members to be known and described in the notice calling such meeting as the National Conference.

The Disaster Management Act regulations provide that: -

Gatherings at conferences and meetings are limited to 1000 persons or less in case of an indoor gathering and 2000 persons or less in case of an outdoor gathering. Provided that no more than 50 percent of the capacity of the venue is used, with persons observing a distance of least one and a half
metres from each other. Provided that persons participating through electronic platforms are not included in these limitations.
