Nkosikazi Nosandi Mhlauli is the first woman Chairperson of the National House of Traditional and Khoisan Leaders. Mhlauli, a former nurse and princess of AmaMpondo, has been head of the AmaHlubi Traditional Council since 1997. She has also been a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial House of Traditional Leaders since 2002 , National House of Traditional Leaders since 2005, Imbumba Yamakhosikazi Akomkhulu (IYA) chairwoman since its inception in 2004 and one of active traditional leaders of the AmaRharhabe Kingdom.
