4th Industrial Revolution and Implications for Municipalities: South Africa, through the Department of Telecommunications and Postal Services and partners hosted the ITU Telecom World 2018 in Durban, KZN. The conference discussed preparations for 5G spectrum and the need for broadband infrastructure, which is important for municipalities. The Department will share the outcomes of the conference and programmes to build the digital economy. FTTH will present on the digital platforms for emergency services and city traffic management.
